New Orleans man monitored for Ebola

Mary Graci

The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals has confirmed that a patient in the New Orleans area is being monitored for Ebola for the next 21 days.  After returning from an Ebola-affected country, the individual was at low risk for infection, but the DHH has decided to take extreme caution.  Only one other individual in Louisiana is being monitored in the same manner, and there are no confirmed cases in the state.  There is no further information at this time.
