In an email sent to Loyola faculty members on Nov. 26, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Marc Manganaro requested feedback and suggestions for the University Strategic Planning Team’s tentative draft of Loyola’s next Strategic Plan.
The email emphasized the importance of finding the “right size” for the student body, as opposed to adjusting according to national trends such as enrollment of traditional-age students and competition from other universities.
The initiatives outlined in the new plan are: creating a sustainable student body, enhancing marketing and communications efforts, emphasizing and articulating innovative experiential learning methods, integrating Loyola’s Jesuit identity throughout the University, enhancing and articulating the quality of student life on campus, and creating and enhancing technology and measurement systems
The plan will be presented to the Board of Trustees in May. Comments and suggestions should be sent to Manganaro or to respective college or office representatives on the Strategic Planning Team.
