Longtime democrat and current Vice President Joe Biden will not run for the democractic nominee of the upcoming presidential election.
President Obama and Jill Biden were by his side as he spoke to a group of people.
While Biden will not be running in 2016, he will continue to be an active member of the democratic party.
Biden started his political journey in 1972 and his vice presidency will conclude in 2017 with the Obama administration leaving the White House. Biden, without actually running, drew over 18 percent of the support for the democrats before his announcement.
