Water collects in a construction site on Octavia Street in Uptown New Orleans on Nov. 5, 2022.

Loyola is experiencing low water pressure at both, main and Broadway campuses, according to an email sent out by Loyola.

Some areas of Uptown are now under a boil water advisory. This issue is due to a water main break at Octavia Street and South Claiborne Ave.

According to NOLA.com, the advisory is affecting the following areas near St. Charles Ave. until further notice:

South Claiborne Avenue from Calhoun Street to Toledano Street
Toledano Street from South Claiborne Avenue to Tchoupitoulas Street
Tchoupitoulas Street from Toledano Street to Exposition Boulevard
Exposition Street from Tchoupitoulas Street to St Charles Avenue
St Charles Avenue from Exposition Boulevard to Calhoun Street
Calhoun Street from St. Charles Avenue to South Claiborne Avenue

Loyola is asking students to preserve water by limiting bathroom usage and refrain from drinking campus water, as our area could be affected.
