You may have noticed Iggy getting jiggy with pirate spirit last week in the Peace Quad.
Last Friday University Programming Board’s Krewe hosted the annual Hurricane Party.
The usual infamous Jello fight was replaced with an oatmeal-filled pool labeled “Pirate’s Gruel”.
Theme décor also included a shipwreck and a sandbox.
There was also a ring toss and water balloons.
“The water balloons were a great success among those present that who wanted to get wet and have fun chasing each other,” said business administration sophomore Norma Miranda.
Miranda is University Programming Board Chairperson of the Usefuls committee, which means she is in charge of organizing small classes in subjects that could be useful to students, such as dancing.
The Hurricane party was a free event, but food and beer were sold as well.
This has been UPB’s largest event this year. Next on the UPB agenda is Loup Garou, featuring O.A.R.
Loup Garou will be Friday, October 17 at Tipitina’s.
Tickets are on sale now for the show.
