On Jan. 27, former New Orleans mayor Ray Nagin’s federal corruption trial is slated to begin.
In January 2013, Nagin was indicted on 21 counts that accused him of taking bribes in exchange for issuing city contracts while he was mayor.
Before his trial begins, Nagin’s attorney wants to make sure that the jurors chosen for this trial are tested about their understanding of innocence. However, prosecutors say that the proposed questions are too misleading and confusing for jury members.
