COLLEGE OF LAW HOSTS FORUM ON PUBLIC LOANS
The College of Law’s Office of Career Services will host a forum Saturday, Jan. 31. “Navigating Your Public Interest Financial Path: Loan Forgiveness, Fellowships, and Other Resources” will feature several presentations aimed at those who work, or plan to work, in public and government services.
The event will be open to the public and free for Loyola students and faculty, as well as public-interest attorneys. It will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Loyola Law School building.

LOYOLA UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM TO BE ON MTV
As a part of MTV’s Youth Inaugural Ball coverage, “Be the Change: Live From the Inaugural,” the TV station filmed rebuilding efforts by the St. Bernard Project, which includes nine Loyola University Community Action Program members.
President Barack Obama addressed the world’s youth at the ball, affirming the possibility of change.
The St. Bernard Project’s “Rebuild the Dream,” is a 24-hour service event dedicated to reconstructing two St. Bernard Parish houses and community involvement.
LUCAP teams with the St. Bernard Project most Saturdays at 10 a.m. through its reconstruction service program Shrockin’.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION’S ALLOCATION DEADLINE SET
At the SGA meeting Tuesday, senators set dates for budget allocations and spring elections.
An allocation informational meeting will be held in the Hub in the basement of the Danna Center on Jan. 27 at 12:30 p.m.
On Jan. 29 at 5 p.m. the House of Representatives will hold the official allocation informational meeting. The Office of Co-Curricular Programs will then offer a meeting at 9 a.m. in the St. Charles Room for those with additional questions.
Every organization’s president and treasurer must each attend at least one of the informational meetings.
Completed budget packets are due in the SGA office no later then 5 p.m. on Feb. 5.
SGA Senate and presidential elections will be held from March 30 to the 31.
