The third annual International Dragon Boat Festival is fast approaching. Boats decorated with Chinese dragon heads and tails, along with other decorative accessories, will take to the seas and race each other in 250-meter, 500-meter and 1,299-meter races. The festival takes place May 12 starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Tchefuncte River in Madisonville. Spectators will be able to watch the festivities for free.
