Another weekend of celebration has passed and New Orleanians have proven again that nothing will stop them from parading.
St. Patrick’s Day celebrations continue this weekend. Jim Monaghan’s Annual Irish Parade is tonight at 5:30 p.m., starting and ending at Molly’s at the Market in the French Quarter at 1107 Decatur St. New Orleans Police SWAT team commander Jeff Winn will serve as grand marshal.
The Downtown Irish Club Parade will also run through Baywater and the French Quarter, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
On Saturday, the Italian-American St. Joseph’s Day Parade will roll through the French Quarter, starting at the corner of Canal and Charters streets at 6 p.m.
On Sunday, the Irish-Italian Parade will roll through Metairie on Veterans Boulevard at noon. For more information and parade routes, go to www.nola.com/stpatricks/.
