NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Tulane will change starting quarterbacks in hopes of seeing more drives end with touchdowns and fewer with field goals.
Coach Bob Toledo says redshirt freshman Ryan Griffin will replace sophomore Joe Kemp for the Green Wave’s Conference USA game at Southern Mississippi on Saturday.
Kemp has started all six games, but has been relieved in all four of the team’s losses, once by junior Kevin Moore and three times by Griffin.
The Wave is 11th in C-USA in scoring offense at 16.8 points per game, even though it’s sixth in passing offense (217.2 yards per game) and seventh in total offense (347.7).
