Brief: Loyola joins pope in prayer for Syria

Pope Francis has declared Saturday, Sept. 7, a day of prayer and fasting dedicated to the need for peace in Syria and peace around the world for all Catholics. Pope Francis has also invited members of other denominations and religions to join in this initiative. Members of the Loyola University New Orleans community are invited to join Pope Francis and the rest of the world in praying for peace on Saturday at noon in St. Ignatius Chapel, Bobet 105. The rosary will be prayed followed by silent prayer and reflection. Rosaries and prayer guides will be provided.
