The Student Government Association unanimously approved its budget for the Spring 2003.
Jeremy Toohey, accounting senior and SGA director of finance, announced that budget allocations are going on this week and campus e-mails have been sent out to inform organizations
Anna Hall, music business senior and SGA president, addressed congress regarding the four meetings that are being held for Provost candidates.
Hall encouraged congress to attend the meetings because the administration encourages SGA to get involved with voting for Provost candidates.
According to economics/finance junior Brandon Thibodeaux, the meetings provided the members with insight to the candidates’ characters.
“These meetings allow the SGA members to represent their constituents in the selection of the Academic Provost who will in one way or another have an impact on every student at Loyola,” he said.
Percy Marchand, management senior and SGA vice president, announced to congress that there will be one-on-one meetings to discuss the congress’s commitment to the government and its constituents.
Marchand will meet with each member of congress individually.
SGA will also have a sign up sheet on the door of its office for the auctions that will take place during SGA week.
