Dear Editor,
In response to Philip Dynia’s On the Record (“Bush presidency’s end is a time of reflection,” Jan. 26), I find it very interesting that supporters of President Barack Obama speak of hope, change and letting go of the past for a “bright new future,” but the very second you get a chance where you could have possibly said something hope-inspiring or positive, like our new president did at his inauguration, you instead choose to go on an angry liberal rant.
They’re only rumors, but I hear this is pretty typical of a day in your class. Wow, I sure am glad our political science department is so centered. I bet conservative views voiced in class aren’t squashed immediately, and that all ideas about the organization and maintaining of government are appreciated … ha!
Your newly crowned king and god, President Barack Obama the Great, stands to change many things in our country — some good, and some not so good. One thing that will never change, however, is the endlessly tiring bore of an angry, over 60, liberal intellectual raging and ranting.
You want change, you want hope … let’s work together and get it done. Do us all a favor and stop this endless tirade.
Sincerely,
Christopher Bournes
political science sophomore
