The Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation recently awarded Trimiko Melancon, assistant professor of English and African and African-American Studies at Loyola University, a career enhancement fellowship.
During the fellowship period, Melancon will complete the final revisions for her book “Unbought and Unbossed: Transgressive Black Women, Sexuality and the Politics of Representation.”
The award will also allow her to make continued progress on her second project, which examines race, representations and the global politics of exclusion in literature and cultural production.
