Loup Garou, the Student Government Association’s annual spring concert, will feature Loyola band Big Rock Candy Mountain, Shreveport-based independent band The Peekers and popular digital disc jockey Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk.

Tipitina’s will host the concert April 21, said Sara Azpeitia, SGA  communications director. Doors open at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale one week from the event. SGA will sell them during the window in the Danna Center courtyard by the rocking chairs. Admission is free for graduating seniors.

“Loup Garou” is the name of a swamp creature in Cajun folklore.

This year’s lineup takes a very different direction than last year’s, which featured famous New Orleans group Rebirth Brass band and popular ’90s bands Everclear and Blind Melon.
