“Dan in Real Life”
Opens nationwide Oct. 26
The Emmy-award-winning and consistently funny Steve Carell (“The Office,” “The 40-Year-Old Virgin”) teams with writer-director Peter Hedges (“Pieces of April,” “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape”) as a widower who falls in love with his brother’s girlfriend. Unfortunate? Yes. Sad? Most likely. Carell at the top of his game in an award-worthy performance? Definitely. Avoid the unfortunately omnipresent Dane Cook, and you’ll fall in love with a close-to-perfect romance that will leave you satisfied.
That’s what she said.
