Archbishop Oscar Romero once said, “We are workers, not master builders.” Our work for Wolves on the Prowl laid down a foundation for the bigger picture to come together easily.
In everything that we did, from moving tables to packing goodie bags, we were the workers; our little efforts put together served a purpose. Even though we did not get to participate in the clinic itself, we still played an important role and acted as workers for Christ by serving the community.
We have to remember that as we serve others, we act as ambassadors of Christ and have to work according to his purpose. As workers, you have to understand that you will not always be able to see the end result or become a master, but you must realize that you are a builder and that is an important role.
Sometimes, it may feel as if you are not doing much, but something is always better than nothing. Participation in Wolves on the Prowl was an amazing and rewarding gift to have been given.
