University Police are investigating another on-campus car theft.
A student reported his 2000 GMC Yukon XL as stolen from the Freret Street Garage Tuesday.
UP said the vehicle was locked and its alarm was enabled.
The Tuesday theft marks the third automobile theft from the Freret Garage in two months. In February, two Chevrolet Tahoes were stolen from the garage less than a week from each other.
New Orleans Police found one of the Tahoes in the 400 block of Cortez Street with the engine and transmission completely removed. The thief used a screwdriver to pry open the locked doors.
In that particular case, the owner told police his doors were also locked and his alarm was activated.
