On Jan. 7 at 3:07 p.m., a Tulane officer said he noticed a laptop computer as they stopped an individual partaking in suspicious behavior, according to Loyola University Police. The computer was identified to belonging to a Loyola student residing in Budding Hall. The student confirmed that the laptop was in fact theirs and recovered their property. The current investigation found out that the victim’s residence hall was left unlocked. Their roommate also noticed the suspect in their resident room but didn’t report it to university police. NOPD arrested the alleged perpetrator and this matter is still under investigation.
