I’m Saad Jafri, Managing editor of Driftwood — the newspaper for the University of New Orleans.
I’ve been notified that Dixie Web, the only printing press for student papers in town, has shut down due to the Hurricane. I thought to use a Baton Rouge press but am curious as to how other college news staffs in the area are dealing with the situation.
Any information would be appreciated. Currently, we’re planning to have an online paper should all else fail, but I’m hoping that things won’t come to that. There must be other options out there…
