Attempted Burglary
University Police reported an attempted burglary in the Communications/Music Complex Dec. 2 at 10:53 a.m. Pry marks were found and the burglary is under investigation.
Suspicious Activity
Someone reported a suspicious vehicle parked on top of the fifth floor of West Road Garage Nov. 26 at 2:47 a.m. The vehicle left before the University Police officer’s arrival. On Nov. 24, someone reported two men were in Carrollton Hall at 8:46 p.m. They left the area before an officer’s arrival.
Theft
People reported three thefts to University Police this week. Items were reported stolen from an equipment storage locker in the Communications/Music Complex Nov. 29 at 6:26 p.m. A wallet was reported stolen from a woman’s purse when she went to the bathroom in the Monroe Library on Nov. 24 at 9:39 a.m. Both thefts are under investigation. An iPod was stolen from Satchmo’s in the Danna Center on Nov. 20 at 7:16 p.m. University Police has a suspect and is handling the situation.
Drug Violations
Two drug violations were reported this week. Residential Life confiscated items and they tested positive for marijuana residue on Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. and 6:56 p.m. The cases were sent to Student Affairs for evaluation.
911 Hang-ups
Two 911 hang-ups were made on campus this week. The emergency button was pushed on the second floor of the Freret Street garage Nov. 25 at 9:42 a.m. The person left before the officer’s arrival. A caller from Lab 1 in the Monroe Library left the area before the officer’s arrival. The caller’s reason for calling is unknown.
