Get ready to deck the palms with boughs of holly in the Palm Court Sunday. The Student Government Association is sponsoring a Christmas celebration from 4 – 5:30 p.m. There will be songs, a table set up to make ornaments for the tree trimming and an appearance by David Robinson-Morris, communications junior, as Santa Claus.
According to Katie Codina, music education sophomore, the Quality Enhancement Plan is continuing to show progress in its development. QEP is intended to focus on improving the university as part of Loyola’s accreditation process. While the final topic is up in the air, there is much speculation that it will be directed toward reevaluating the Common Curriculum.
*Starting next semester the Danna Center will stay open until 2:15 a.m. This will allow students to leave the library when it closes at 2 a.m. and walk to the dorms without having to trek around the Danna Center.
*Sam Cabrera, international business sophomore, was elected the November executive staffer of the month. Cabrera was voted executive staffer of the month because of his focus on making it less painful to rent MicroChillers each semester.
*Joe Olivier, sociology junior, was elected the November judicial staffer of the month for his work and effort toward social justice this semester.
*The Intercultural Center is having its grand opening Dec. 8 in the Danna Center at 12:30 p.m. It is located next to the bookstore.
