It’s almost the season to be jolly, but before we get to that, there are thanks to be given and turkey that must be eaten. With so many festivities in the air, students are talking about the upcoming holidays.
So, the question is: What do Loyola students look forward to this time of the year?
“I am thankful for my friends, for sleeping in and for no more cafeteria food,” mathematics freshman Whitney Radosti said. “I am looking forward to seeing my friends from out of town.”
Family and friends are evidently what most students are anticipating for this upcoming break, after almost three months of intensive paper writing and massive amounts of studying.
“I can’t wait to see my grandpa,” English freshman Clelie Ancelet said. “I am thankful for my family and friends, and I’m looking forward to our family Thanksgiving dinner.”
“I am thankful for Jesus Christ and for my family. I am looking forward to being with my family and spending time with my friends,” said Shelly Jenkins, religious studies senior.
Others are looking forward to a change in their scenario – something completely different than what the southern Louisiana atmosphere has to offer.
Music industry sophomore Andrew Wilson said, “I want to go home and see the snow. I am thankful for my family and my friends and for the opportunity of being in college.”
Even though the semester is almost over, it appears as though everyone is ready for this anticipated break, a home cooked meal and some time with the family.
