In accordance with “The Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989,” Loyola implemented a new drug and alcohol policy in the fall of 1990. This policy was concerned with the education of students, faculty and staff members about the risks of substance abuse. Since then, Loyola has been required to publish and disseminate information to students and employees about the university’s standards of conduct in regard to alcohol and drug possession, use or distribution.
