Dear Editor:
I would like to address a misunderstanding that was present in the article “Loyola Society for Civic Engagement holds first student caucus.” The article references conservative co-chairman Garlan White’s feelings toward the caucus’ “small turnout.” Although we are thrilled to have received coverage in The Maroon and appreciate the support for our event, we are concerned that Garlan was misunderstood and we are more than satisfied with the number of active participants at our event. Although this may seem a small issue, it is important to LSCE that attendees know that their presence was appreciated and that we hope to see similar results at future events.
