On April 9 at 4:33 a.m., the victim was sleeping in his apartment on the 800 block of Broadway Sreet when he awoke to find a man in his room, stealing the cell phone on his nightstand. He yelled, and the man grabbed the victim’s laptop and ran away. There were no signs of forced entry.
On April 10 at 9:10 p.m., a witness reported seeing an unfamiliar man leave his neighbor’s apartment on the 1000 block of Pine Street. The witness and his roommate chased the man down Freret Street, but lost sight of him near Audubon Street.
