Liberto to manage enrollment
Salvadore Liberto, vice president for enrollment and dean of admission at Newbury College in Brookline, Mass., accepted Loyola’s offer for the position of vice president and associate provost for enrollment management. He will begin full time in the summer, according to a university-wide e-mail from the Rev. Kevin Wildes, S.J., university president.
Liberto is credited with having helped increase full-time enrollment at Newbury by 45 percent in the last five years.
He is a native of New Orleans and a graduate of Boston College.

SGA discusses global students, parking at meeting
The Student Government Association’s senate meeting April 8 was the last meeting for outgoing officers.
The senate chartered the Global Student Network. This student organization will be a community for global public issues and activities targeted to study-abroad students, exchange students and international students.
SGA presented its resolution advocating free visitor parking in the Mercy Hall lot to the parking committee.
“They are open to the idea but are skeptical about the logistics,” said senator LeeAnn Moss, international business sophomore.

Students, faculty receive ADDYs
The Ad Club of New Orleans named Terrell Fisher, assistant vice president of publications and marketing communications, Ad Person of the Year at the ADDY Awards Ceremony held last month, according to a Loyola news release. The award was based on nominations and testimonies from local advertising and marketing professionals. Fisher has been a staff member at Loyola for 30 years.
