Maroon Life and Times: What are your hobbies?
Mikey Paz: I like to play soccer, and being a DJ is my life.
L & T: How long have you been playing soccer?
Paz: I have been playing soccer since the 10th grade.
L & T: What is something people might not know about you?
Paz: I have seen almost every Disney movie that has come out. The Lion King is my favorite.
L&T: Where can people hear you spin?
Paz: I have spun at Ampersand and Montrels, and I’m soon going to be moving to a different location.
L & T: How did you get into being a DJ?
Paz: I started at 14 when I got my first set of turntables, and I did my first house party at the age of 16.
L&T: What kind of music do you like to listen to?
Paz: I like all music, I like hip hop a lot, I basically like every thing except for country.
L&T: What do you do in your spare time?
Paz: I spend a lot of time in my room listening to music. I try to look for anything that people can jam to.
L & T: How do you feel when you’re on stage spinning?
Paz: Better than anyone in the crowd – it’s a good feeling knowing that you can appeal to people by playing their song.
L & T: Are there other places that people can hear your music?
Paz: I do an on-line radio show at http://www.scratchproradio.com. It’s freestyle – whatever the listener chooses.
