The Board of Trustees picked up four new members during the summer.
They are Alton F. Doody, president of the Alton F. Doody Company, New Orleans; Desiree Glapion Rogers, senior vice president of Peoples Energy Corporation and its utility subsidiaries, Chicago, Ill.; Earnrolyn Smith, an information professional consultant with Lexis/Nexis Academic & Library Solutions, St. Louis, Mo.; and Frances Smith, owner and proprietor of the Soniat House Hotel in the French Quarter.
Doody serves on the College of Music Visiting Committee and has hosted special events for the school. He graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he also served as a trustee.Rogers, a New Orleans native living in Chicago, graduated from Wellesley College and Harvard Business School. She has served as chair of the Children’s Museum of Chicago and has been on the executive committee of the Lincoln Park Zoo and the Museum of Science and Industry.
Smith, A’93, attended the University of Michigan Graduate School of Library and Information Science. She earned her juris doctor degree from St. Louis University Law School.
Smith, a business graduate of Loyola, also completed two years post-graduate work at the Sorbonne in French history and literature. She served on the College of Business Visiting Committee and currently serves on the College of Music Visiting Committee.
