According to an Aug. 8 Loyola press release, Brett Jacobs, John Cornwell and David Estes each have new positions at the university.
Brett Jacobs, former director of Information Technology, was appointed executive director of IT. His duties now include coordinating all areas of IT, such as strategic planning, maintenance of classroom and laboratory technology, and direction for the university’s technological development.
John Cornwell, Ph.D., former associate professor of psychology at Loyola, was appointed assistant provost for institutional effectiveness and assessment. He is now responsible for ensuring support for institutional efficiency and continuing the process of improvement.
David Estes, Ph.D., formerly an associate professor of English, was appointed assistant provost for teaching, learning, and faculty development. His new duties include assistance in faculty development for the colleges and adopting a new pedagogy.
