Six Loyola MBA students are competing this week at the Idea Village’s IDEAcorps Initiative in downtown New Orleans as part of New Orleans Entrepreneur Week. Teams participating in this week’s event represent some of the most prestigious MBA programs in the country, including Harvard, Yale, Duke and Columbia universities.
Each team will pair up with a local start-up business, and will act as the entrepreneur’s executive management team. The team is responsible for producing implementable action plans for its client to use to develop their business.
At the end of the week, each team will present its action plan to a panel of top business executives, including Entergy Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President Rod West and Harrah’s Central Division President John Payne, who will select the winner. Loyola’s MBA team won the competition in 2010.
