Loyola will host a blood-drive for alumnus and music finance instructor Jude Boudreaux’s 2-year- old daughter Lucy Boudreaux. Lucy was diagnosed with leukemia and is currently being treated at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.
The blood drive will go to benefit not only Lucy, but all the children at the hospital. Donors must be in good health, at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds. With parental permission, 16-year-olds who weigh at least 130 pounds may also donate. A picture ID is required.
Donors were asked to sign up by Wednesday, Nov. 28, but people will be able to donate blood without advanced registration. The drive will take place on Monday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the St. Charles Room of the Danna Student Center.
