The Wolfpack extended its winning streak with a four-game win over Gulf Coast Athletic Conference rival Spring Hill.
The game was rescheduled from the bad weather earlier in the year.
The ‘Pack traveled to the Outlaw Center just one week after the Badgers pushed the team to five games in the Den.
On the coast, the game ended with a score of 30-21, 30-20, 27-30 and 30-15.
According to Head Coach Greg Castillo, the team played very well compared to last week.
“We were a completely different team from the one that played last team,” he said.
“We are not a big team. We need to pass well to win.”
Education junior Amanda Gillard led the team with 18 kills and four aces. Communications senior Maggie Schaefer recorded 21 digs.
The victory moves the ‘Pack’s record to 15-5 on the season and increases the current winning streak to nine games.
“We are playing pretty well,” Castillo said, “but we need to keep on working and getting better.”
The win ensures that the ‘Pack will retain the number one ranking for the seventh straight week.
The team travels to Montgomery, Ala. today to participate in the two-day Faulkner Tournament.
“We get to see the other teams in our region,” Castillo said. “It is important because these are the team that we could face that regional tournament.”
