The R.E.A.L. organization embraces New Orleanian culture at inaugural festival

The R.E.A.L organization will gather locals and pillars of the community to discuss and celebrate the role that African-American culture played in shaping New Orleans’ history at its inaugural Cultural Tradition Festival.

In addition to the celebrations, guest will have the opportunity to meet Mardi Gras Indians, Social Aid and Pleasure Club members, and other community leaders. The event will also feature a variety of live music, local cuisine, arts and crafts, and carnival rides for children.

Free and open to the public, the event will take place at A.L. Davis park on Aug. 9 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
