New Orleans Mayor Latoya Cantrell advises citizens to “remain vigilant as Gordon approaches” after officially lifting the watch on the tropical storm.

The latest update from The National Weather Service indicates that New Orleans is no longer in the storm’s path. However, the possible wind gusts and heavy rain still keep the flash flood warnings in place.

A clear sky and no signs of Gordon surround Loyola. Residence halls remained well stocked with snacks and breakfast items for students, while the curfew remained in place.

Tomorrow, New Orleans expects scattered thunderstorms throughout the evening of Wednesday, September 5th according to The Weather Channel.
