Masako Melissa Hirsch has been elected as the new editor-in-chief of The Maroon for the fall 2011 semester.
Hirsch is a mass communication senior and vice president of Kappa Tau Alpha, the mass communication honors fraternity.
“I’m really looking forward to taking the groundwork laid out by this year’s editor in chief and moving upwards and onwards with the paper next fall,” Hirsch said.
Her first issue as editor will be published Friday, May 6.
