One crime against a student in the Uptown area occurred this week, and police arrested a suspect from a previous BOLO. Jan. 27 at 10:55 p.m., an armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Hickory and Leonidas streets. The suspect stole about $150 and fled. He is described as a 30 to 35 year-old black male with gold teeth and a cross tattooed on his forehead and was carrying a handgun. As reported in a previous BOLO Rundown, on Jan. 6, a taxi driver assaulted a female student on her way back to campus from the airport. The NOPD arrested this suspect recently for false imprisonment and simple battery. – from University Police reports
