Dear Editor,
(Re: Sept. 28, ‘Supagroup not quite supa’). Shawn Dugas suggests that rock, as a music form, is dead.
All I can do is quote one of the groups of my youth, the Dell Vikings.
“Rock and Roll is here to stay. I dig to the end. It will always be that way. Just you wait, my friend. I don’t care what people say. Rock and Roll is here to stay.”
This constitutes a core belief for me. It has never changed, since the age of seven, and it never will. I, of course, speak only for myself, and in no way purport to represent the musical views of other members of the Loyola community.
Sincerely,
Roger White
