BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU is 21-0 all-time against Louisiana-Lafayette, although the two programs have met only twice since 1938. In those two matchups, the Tigers rolled 48-0 in 2002 and 45-3 in 2006.
The field goal the Cajuns scored three years ago were the first points they had produced against LSU since 1924 after being shut out 10 times in a row. In fact, ULL has scored in only five of the 21 games against the Tigers, 22 points total and never more than seven.
UL-Lafayette is 0-34 against Southeastern Conference teams, while LSU is 32-0 against the Sun Belt Conference. That streak got severely tested last season when the Tigers fell behind Troy 31-3 before surging back for a 41-31 victory.
