“The 2011-2012 Student Government Association has done a wonderful job with addressing the concerns of students and student organizations on campus. As a presidential candidate, I would like to further strengthen the relationship between students and their student government. I hope to be able to address issues affecting commuter students and promote more SGA-sponsored initiatives that get the entire student body involved. I would like to start a fundraising workshop for student organizations to be given prior to the allocations process so that each organization has an opportunity to raise money independently through outlets other than just the traditional bake sale. I wish to promote campus sustainability through the student government association. A student government is as strong as its student body wants it to be, as Rudyard Kipling wrote “For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack.”
