Three crimes occurred in the Uptown area during the past three weeks. Jan. 30 at 6:10 p.m. on the 1300 block of Lowerline Street, the victim was sitting in her car when the suspect approached the driver’s side and, according to a university police report, said, “Get out the car.”
The victim drove off and reported the incident to the 2nd District station.
Jan. 30 at 9:00 p.m., a man exposed himself to a group of students in the 600 block of Broadway in the doorway of a residence.
Feb. 4 at 12:13 a.m., the same obscenity occurred by a different suspect outside of Irby Hall on Tulane’s campus.
University police encourage victims of this kind of crimes to “quickly walk away from an individual exposing his genitals and (to) not engage in conversation with the suspect.”
