Psychology professor and licensed massage therapist Glen Hymel received two awards for his service in the field of massage therapy.
Hymel received the American Massage Therapy Association’s 2011 National Distinguished Service award, as well as the Massage Therapy Foundation’s Distinguished Service Award for Visionary Leadership for his 11 years of service.
Hymel is also the executive editor and founder of The International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, which is a quarterly journal. In addition to being a founder of the journal, Hymel serves as the associate editor of The Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, a monthly publication, which focuses on the latest therapeutic techniques.
