The Loyola School of Nursing was recently awarded a $700,000 grant from the Health Research and Services Administration to support doctoral students pursuing careers as an advanced practice registered nurse. The grant will help pay for tuition, fees and books for students who commit to work in health professions in underserved communities and rural areas. Eligible applicants are students who enroll in the post- baccalaureate doctor of nursing practice program, the only doctoral program in Louisiana accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
