Adil Khan, Islamic studies assistant professor, is hosting a free webinar titled “The Muslims Around You” for those who want to learn more about the Western Muslim community.
“I hope that the webinar helps people who are unfamiliar with Muslims gather information and gain enough confidence to reach out and talk to Muslims, if and when they encounter them in their day-to-day lives,” Khan said.
According to Khan, the webinar is intended to familiarize those who are generally unfamiliar with the beliefs and practices of the Muslim community and help people understand the internal dynamics of the community.
The Loyola community will be able to log onto the school website to get access to the webinar.
It will be held online on the school website at 8 p.m. on Sept. 17.
