Loyola sued over firing

Former Loyola employee Michael Indest is suing the university for wrongful termination.

Indest was fired from Loyola around May 1, 2012 after he reported the misappropriation of funds and other illegal activities according to court documents.

The petition for damages further states that “the termination was done in violation of the contract the plaintiff has with the defendant as no procedure was followed in the employee handbook after plaintiff reported wrongdoing.” Director of Public Affairs Meredith Hartley said that the university does not comment on ongoing legal matters and has no comment on Indest’s lawsuit at this time.
