Entering almost a century of life, World War II veteran Lance Corporal Harold Jones has walked hundreds of miles around his garden to raise money for charity.
Starting in 2020, Jones has circled his backyard 30 times every day, rain or shine, according to Andy Corbley with Good News Network. Using social media, Jones has raised awareness and funding for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Using his three-wheeled walker, Jones has walked a total of 661 miles around his garden, effectively raising over 43,000 euros, or $46,000 in just under four years.
Jones has since been awarded the Points of Light award, which honors outstanding individuals, by the Prime Minister for his efforts, Corbley said.
