Business freshman Tarun Surat was named the SSAC male tennis Player of the Week for Feb. 25 – March 3, 2013. Surat is the first winner of the Player of the Week award since 2011 when the Wolf Pack program returned. Surat won the award for a 5-1 on the season in singles play with 6-1, 6-1 victory over Karlis Stonis of the University of Mobile on Friday, March 1 in the afternoon. He has played at the #1 singles position in every match this season. Loyola’s men’s and women’s tennis will play a doubleheader on Friday, March 8 in Hattiesburg, Miss. The Wolf Pack will face off William Carey University at 3 p.m. before playing Tougaloo College in the second half of the doubleheader.
