Over the summer, the National Association of Basketball Coaches honored three Wolf Pack basketball players and also awarded the Loyola men’s basketball team with the National Association of Basketball Coaches Inaugural Team Academic Excellence Award. International business junior Rocco Gandara, public relations senior Cameron Hill and Steve Davis, A’13, were the awarded athletes.
The individual award recognizes the achievements of the players on and off the court, while the team award is reserved for a team whose average GPA is 3.0 or above. The team was the only group out of 96 schools around the country to earn the National Association of Basketball Coaches Inagural Team Academic Excellence Award.
