I am outraged at the recent letter to the editor from the Alumni discussing his agreement with rev. byron over the recent decisions of the cancellation of the vigina monologues. This alumni is completely ignorant of the content of either the vagina monologues and the decadence festival, which he also brought to attention in the article. He admits in the article of never reading the play or going to the festival, how then can he put-down either of these events without knowing anything about them? most of his ideas are just his own assumptions. The letter itself makes no sense in which he claims that he has the same negative feelings toward both the feminisme oriented show and the GLBT oriented festival. He has brought up his feelings towards these events, but he has failed to mention similar events, such as mardi gras, and the current production of Lysistrata being staged by the Loyola Drama Dept, Both of which are very similar to the affor mentioned events, if not WORSE. I will be very surprised if Mr. Gaudin had the same sense of morality about those events that appeal to the heterosexual and male population that he does to the two events he so crudely attepted to discredit in his letter. I think that this alumni needs to put his money where is mouth is and attempt not to be so ignorant next time he writes a horribly sexist and homophobic letter to the editor. Mr. Gaudin, things have changed since 1954, and hopefully Rev. Byron will understand that too.Nathan Martin
