Dear Willie, Your controversial peace song is a beacon of Hope. This war was sold with lies and is a flagrant violation of The Nuremberg Principles. The 9/11 event was trumped up to occupy the oil fields. The Federal Government set Americans up for 9/11 by weapons profiteering. The root cause of 9/11 was the government making enemies by distributing weapons that killed, blinded, burned, and maimed millions from the Middle and Far East to Africa, Central and South America. Visualize children screaming in agony, eardrums blown out from the concussion of bombs made for profit in the USA.. President Eisenhower warned about the military industrial complex. The U S treasury is being looted as corporations and militarists are turned loose to terrorize people to the vagaries of the U S President. What would make the people of the world happiest would be an embargo on the export of weapons from America. When Americans look for the reason 9/11 occurred, they should ask “How many trillions of dollars of weapons did the U S Government ship to the Middle East”? and “How many weapons did the people of the Middle East ever send to America?” American and British Governments’ interference and arms profiteering caused such suffering and misery that revenge seekers and 9/11 were inevitable. I am a tour guide and talk to people from all over the world. Most of the tourists from other countries are dismayed by American militarism. Beyond the borders people think that Americans are greedy and evil. America went from being a light of hope to “The arms supermarket of the world”. You ask the right questions Willie, and Americans should not spill one drop of innocent blood for oil power greed and gas guzzler convenience. Your song is a mirror for American consciences to reflect on. If media personalities won’t play your song and wrap themselves in the flag rather than face the light of truth take it as a good sign. It will make people think instead of mindlessly going along with lies and exaggerations. You are in the great company of history’s heroes who spoke truth in the face of power seekers, military adventurers and potential dictators.
